The goal of the project was to establish educational standards and one national curriculum for K12 in Switzerland. ” At the present moment 15 cantons1 are willing to harmonize their curriculum. “Lehrplan 21” integrates the national educational objectives (educational standards), thus ensuring compatibility among the cantonal educational systems and responding to the mobility of families within the country, which is becoming an increasing reality (Amsler 2013).
