In layout, be sure to allow for saw kerfs between parts. 2 . Cut all plywood parts accurately to size and then rabbet ends at top and bottom. Make dado cuts for shelves in partitions and end panels a t heights shown in front perspective. Be sure to provide a blind dado in front for shelf Dl of desk compartment. Also, make dado cuts for partitions in top a,nd bottom panels. Follow with dado cuts along shelf edges for compartments with sliding doors. Install metal track in these dado cuts. Also provide dadoes in bottom face of shelf for %" partitions of record storage compartment.
Drill %-inch finger pulls and assemble drawers for desk unit after fronts have been dadoed and rabbeted. Install cabinet hardware. 3. Make dado cuts for dividers of magazine unit as shown. Rabbet edges and assemble with nails and glue. 4. The fronts of the drawer units must be rabbeted at sides to a depth of 1lfs-inches. Make a %-inch rabbet at bottom and assemble drawer as shown. Increase depth of top drawer to 4%-inches and rabbet upper edge to fit flush against shelf edge. Drill 1%-inch finger pulls.
